I was really curious about this, so I had a delightful chat with Adama, a wonderful person who is not only a mom and a wife, but also a talented florist. We met over an oat milk latte and tea at Fount Coffee in Morrisville.
Adama has an incredible journey, starting as a makeup artist and then transitioning into the world of floristry. Her artistic expertise has taken her from the glamorous runways of NY Fashion Week to the prestigious stages of the SF Symphony. Born in the bustling streets of Philadelphia, her love for beauty eventually led her to fall in love with the art of floristry.. She immersed herself in the vibrant world of horticulture in San Francisco and became a master of corporate and wedding floral designs. This passion eventually gave birth to Lavish Leaf, a floral design studio located in Durham.
From her childhood days of crocheting to cultivating gardens with her parents, Adama's creative roots run deep. Today, she is a living testament to the harmonious blend of creativity and nature. She transforms each floral arrangement into a masterpiece that goes beyond mere aesthetics.
