Wow! Is all I can say. I can’t believe it has been a month since The Banana Moon landed. There were so many things I learned from the launch about myself, one being that “this is what I should be doing”. Writing has always been my passion; pronunciation and punctuation not so much. But I knew that my voice deserved to be heard, to be seen.
One of the things that I am passionate about is traveling. A lot of people think that you just choose a place and you go! Not for me, I am a planner. When it came to me choosing a location for my blog launch, I wanted somewhere that was nice, aesthetically pleasing and affordable. I searched high and low in the Raleigh Area and I couldn’t seem to find anything. I finally thought of an “AIRBNB” which was my original thought, in the beginning, I just wasn’t sure if I could find a place that could accommodate my guest.
It took me less than 10 mins to find the perfect location via the Airbnb app. The photos were stunning, the location was perfect, and the size was amazing. I chose the Award-Winning Historical Farmhouse in Durham, NC.
This award-winning Durham farm property with its custom renovations and restoration sits on 5 acres. The home includes a wraparound porch, original shiplap walls & ceilings, reclaimed floors, dreamy bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen and so much more. The king-size master bedroom is on the main level. The 2nd level has 2 queen bedrooms with 2 twins. The 3rd Level has a pull-out queen.
The home is perfect for family and friends, reunions, baby showers, wedding showers and small to medium-size gatherings. The eat-in kitchen is the center of the home and large enough to socialize while also preparing a great meal. There is a total of 6 bathrooms and on-site laundry.
You may be thinking, why did she need all of that for a launch event? and the truth is I didn’t. We mainly used the kitchen, dining room and living space. We migrated upstairs to the 3rd level to watch the launch video which allowed my guest to view the home and see all it had to offer. The homes décor went perfect with my logo.
Terrance, Miles and I enjoyed an overnight stay there. One of my favorite parts of the house was the master bathroom. It was spacious, bright and beautiful. I am so thankful that I chose this Airbnb it was the perfect decision.
