Airbnb’s have become “all the rage” in the past several years, with each home having a little something for everyone, Raleigh has recently become a hot spot for having some of the best places to stay for short term rentals. While I have stayed in many hotels, Airbnb's offer an up-close and personal experience with the locals, the city and what it has to offer. My recent stay in one of Raleigh’s newest Airbnb has risen above the rest: Millbank Village Court.
This year, I decided I had no intentions of traveling for my birthday. I wanted to book something right away - so I rented an Airbnb on the edge of town that was sophisticated and the epitome of urban living. I opted for a modern, 3 bedroom rental that was fully equipped with everything a birthday girl could ask for.
Millbank Village Court is a 6 min drive from Downtown Raleigh and a 4 min drive to the newly renovated Gateway Plaza. The Airbnb is situated in a residential neighborhood surrounded by single family homes. The owners are Gibran and Ha Lopez they are a powerful and diverse couple from the Latino and Asian Community. Gibran is a Real Estate Investor at DLT Capital, husband, military veteran and dad. Gibran and Ha own properties in Raleigh, Durham and Tulum. The modern touches in the home reflect the couples contemporary taste.
The design of this newly built home maximizes your enjoyment with modern and tasteful finishes while maintaining a cozy atmosphere.
The kitchen is the perfect balance between form and function. The high-end appliances allow for you to have a gourmet experience without leaving home. It has built-in cabinetry, beautiful quartz countertops, and is fully equipped with everything you need to master your cooking skills.
When you are done cooking, relax in the living room, stream Netflix or Disney+ on the couch, or catch up on your reading list.
The Airbnb host added a remote work area with a comfy leather chair and stylish desk to provide a quiet space to focus.
In addition to the comfortable hybrid beds and nightstands, all bedrooms have plenty of storage in the closets for your belongings. The ensuite bathroom is fully tiled with complimentary furnishings.

Millbank Village Court will always hold a special place in my heart. After such a busy year this little slice of heaven was just what I needed. During the weekend I spent in this home, I found myself relaxed, renewed and ready for what a new year in my 30's hold. I am in awe of Millbank Village Court and the time and effort it took to curate such an amazing space. If I could do it all over again, I would.
